Hello all,
Wolverhampton is looking at developing a CRM system. I have been asked to
look into whether holding an identifier from a CRM record to records on
another system (ie. Council Tax, Housing etc) will constitute a breach in
the DPA or commit ultra vires?
For example an individual phones with a Council Tax query, we use the link
on the CRM to obtain Council Tax data. The following day the same
individual phones and queries his Rent Account, we use the same CRM
records to link to his housing records. What are the legal implications
of the CRM having the potential to link the two systems together?
I'm interested in receving comments from Local Government subscribers who
have implemented a CRM system or heading towards implementing such a
system.
Thanking you in advance of your replies.
With kind regards,
Julie Davenport
