Doreen,
There was some secondary legislation released recently that I believe
basically states that school holidays will not be counted as working days
for the purposes of replying to FOI requests, effectively extending the 20
day deadline. See the following link for the draft SI:

Subject: [data-protection] FOI & Holidays
***** This email was sent via the INTERNET *****
All
20 working days to answer a request.........but during the summer holidays
our schools (mainly primaries) who are part of the Council close
completely...so, if a request comes in during that time and no one picks
it up until the start of the Autumn term how would we stand especially if
the 20 working day period was over. (A short explanation or would we be
penalised?) or is it just wait and see..................As usual, your
views much appreciated.
Hey ho......
