A firm of solicitors have made an SAR under authority from a client.
They requested that the data be provided within 21 days if possible
while acknowledging the 40 day period under the Act. They comment "most
public bodies are amenable to abridging the time limit".
I would be interested to know if any of the public bodies represented on
this list do actively work towards a shorter time limit - as opposed to
sending data as soon as it is ready within the 40 day period ie
"promptly" as required by the Act.
