Data subject hasmore rights under 1998 Act - you can object to particular processing of your information - i.e. I can see where the individuals are coming from. I filled in information re Child Benefit and sent the form off with my Bank details as they wished to pay into my Bank Account. I then received a phone call a couple of months later at home to ask for my bank details as they had not received my form and I said I had sent it back and was told that forms were going missing - no wonder I have such a large overdraft!!! Seriously though with so much publicity about identity theft etc I think they are fully justified but that is my own personal opinion.

Subject: Posted pay slips
***** This email was received from the INTERNET *****
We have hit a situation where some employees have objected to their pay
slips being sent to their home address (contains confidential info, is
private, may be opened by others, could get lost etc).
This looks initially like a 'No consent' and should stop but I believe
the argument will be they have signed terms and conditions - any
comments?
Thanks
Arthur
