Historically that resulted in less than the full picture, to the detriment
of all, as a single predetermined view was the main achievement.
Much like parting with meta-data, people take no umbrage provided they do
not see an issue. MS Outlook transmitting message amendments with the
finished e-mail would be a good example of that type of thing. Many routes
are possible to avoid the big scream so the choice of the best answer to fit
the organisation is most appropriately made locally, thereby enabling
effective sales.
It would seem a number of alternatives have already been provided which
could possibly be woven into an answer acceptable to the PR department,
after all they will not wish to be the cause of the organisation being spam
listed, something which would probably make them feel most insecure.
Provided that fair obtaining and use are met, many things appear possible.
