Would love to here what those guys (and gals) have to say who've successfully completed this course, as I am in a similar situation apart from I'm trying to justify it for myself.
Something along the lines of professional credibility, recognized qualification, demonstrates legal understanding, etc.

Subject: [data-protection] ISEB Data Protection - Justification
Advice please.
I am responsible for all things data protection within the organisation
and as such I have recently applied to attend the above course in March
2005.
I have now been asked to justify why I think that I should be trained and
sponsored in and for the above qualification. My manager is keen for me to
attend, but for those 'above', I need to give a watertight and convincing
case especially in terms of how it would benefit the organisation and how
it would contribute to my carerr aspirations.
Can anyone share some ideas with me. I want to be able to put a case
whereby 'they' have no choice but to agree.
Thanks
