We have gone down this route 2 years ago. All personnel files are scanned -
every bit of paper. the physical files are now stored of site following legal
retention procedures.
Due to the fact that the system we use to scan and store these documents meets
BIP0009 compliance with 'legal admissibility & evidential weight of information
stored electronically', there is no need to have to keep paper records on site.
If hard copies are needed for whatever reason, we just print them off the
(compliant) EDM system.
