But harking back to the other thread, how do you know that the removal
was done correctly unless there's an audit trail, and *that* audit trail
will have to include the fact that there was an offence (otherwise the
audit trail will describe a transaction regarding an unknown quantity,
and be of no use at all); and so the data lives on for ever!
