Why is that? The DP Act is apparently allowing you to disclose unless
there's a very clear ban (for example the police certifying that to
disclose the existence an enquiry would prejudice their investigation).
It may be your employer's policy that is preventing the voluntary
disclosure.
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick, and you disagree that the
police should be able to issue such a ban?
