Re:immigration calls.
We have had a number of calls purporting to be from Immigration that have to
my mind been bogus. In one example, I separately checked with a Chief
Immigration Officer from Heathrow only to be informed that they did not have
a record of anyone making such a call nor in his opinion were they entitled
to make that specific request (in this particular circumstance the original
caller had advised us not to take a particular individual).
Therefore I advise not responding directly to the caller but independently
verifying their bona fides. We do advise Immigration that every person who
is offered a place here will have a letter to show to Immigration.
I agree with Sally that attendance information is very personal and that we
will seek consent to release that unless it is a specific s.29(3) request.
Try defining attendance! But that is another thread,
