I can see where you are coming from Christine but and there has to be one..... what if the "whistleblowers" were just making accusations for the sake of it i.e. colleagues don't always get on...Basically, you cannot make assumptions just because someone has made e.g. a telephone call making allegations. Surely something like this has to be investigated and go through proper procedures - union involvement, lawyers etc. Also, have never held much faith in Durrant, not to mention the recent EU involvement on that one but from January 2005 we can't hide under that stone anyway - FOI = unstructured files.

Two things spring immediately to mind. Does the legislation which covers
anonymity for 'whistle blowers' come into play and secondly how is the data
held. If it is in a file is it a relevant filing system as accepted post
Durrant. It may not have to be disclosed anyway
