If you Google it, IDPP is something to do with technical data protection
not the Act.

Subject: DP Professional Bodies
Chaps (and chap'eses),
I have a Powerpoint (paper copy) Presentation from an organisation
calling
themselves IDPP (Institute of Data Privacy Professionals). By all
accounts
they are trying to set themselves up as 'The' Institute for DPO's (one
of
their targets is to register with Companies House by mid June).
I've tried to find out more, but with little luck (i.e. no (easily)
identifyable web-site). Does anyone know any more about this Institute?
Les
