Simply go to the telephone preference service (see the Marketing Library on
our site) and register your number. After 28 days or so it becomes an
offence to contact you.
Verbal requests to stop calling are almost useless
By the way, this is a "sales company". Marketing is rather different from
selling. However no-one ever gets paid anywhere unless something is sold
somewhere.

Subject: [data-protection] Unwanted phone calls from marketing company!
Can anybody help?!
For the last 4 weeks I've been receiving phone calls every day at the same
time from a company trying to sell me damage protection for my sky dish.
I'm never in when the phone calls are made and when you ring them back you
get a message telling you you've been contacted by this company..and then it
cuts you off. On Monday, I finally managed to find a phone number where I
could speak to somebody. I rang them up and was assured the phone calls
would stop. I got the same call on Tuesday and rang back...and was assured
that the calls would stop..when I had to ring back AGAIN yesterday I was not
impressed to say the least and asked to speak to the Manager who..yup you
guessed it..assured me the calls would be stopped. I think I've been more
than patient with this company and have decided to put my foot down.
Would anybody be able to help me with a form of words to hit this company
with Section 11?
