Lord Brown is a dimwit!
How can innocent people be 'the usual suspects'? We're not talking about a
database of DNA of people who have ever been convicted (even those with
spent convictions).
The question is whether the police can be trusted not to use the database
any way they see fit ie/ trawling it for a criminal gene and putting
individuals under surveillance BEFORE they have done anything. Any one of us
could carry the gene and not be criminals! Which is a very different
situation to holding fingerprints.
What happened to the mantra 'innocent until proven guilty'?
