There are still some places left at our second Annual Access to Information
Conference on 12 May 2004.
Last year our annual access to information conference was a huge success.
Over 160 delegates attended and the programme received excellent feedback.
This year we are very pleased to announce that the conference is supported
by the Information Commissioner and the Department for Constitutional Affairs.
This is the biggest event on the FOI calendar in 2004. The keynote address
will be delivered by the Minister responsible for Information Rights, Lord
Filkin. You will hear from the key players in the field including Richard
Thomas, the Information Commissioner, and Andrew McDonald, the Constitution
Director at the DCA. We are also pleased to bring you two international
speakers with over 20 years experience in access issues: Judge Anand
Satyanand, the New Zealand Ombudsman and Professor Alasdair Roberts,
Syracuse University, New York. Back by popular demand are our practical
workshops on handling requests. This year we’ve also included workshops on
data protection and records management in local government.
