This isn't the first time - hardly seems any time since CRB last admitted
allocating records to 400 innocent individuals. I assume they didn't all
claim compensation for 'damage & distress' caused by CRB.
I have every sympathy for those wrongly accuesed, but we need to remember
that we only know about them because they have eventually been able to
prove their innocence.
I am much more concerned about the potential for CRB to give a clear record
for someone working with children & vulnerable adults if they have relevant
convictions that would normally exclude them from this type of employment.
Regarding the CRBs comments about badly completed forms causing the
problems - personally think its about time the forms were redesigned as I
found some of the 'help' to fill it in far from clear and the boxes far too
titchy!
