I'm just reading the FSA report that triggered the article - it makes sad
reading in places -e.g. firms not dealing with security risks identified
in IT Security audit reports for several years.
For those in the Financial Sector the FSA has big teeth and uses them. I
suspect this report, although not formal guidance, will provide informed
background information for the FSA to assess Compliance with rules stating
regulated banks, insurance companies etc must "take reasonable care to
establish and maintain effective systems and controls....They must also
counter the risk that the firm might be used to further Financial crime".

Ye gods. What's needed is TICO to actually enforce what he has. It is
time
for the namby pamby education to cease and the teeth to be bared.
I am still betting that he will let Cahoot off

Now a BBC analyst is calling for a 'stronger data protection law'...
..and states his reason that he can't be bothered to change his Cahoot
account after the security breach...
Is it Friday yet?
