Colleagues
Next week, on 28th April, we doing a course on Surveillance law and the Regulation of the Investigatory Powers Act. It is a full day course in Belfast (Wellington Park Hotel). The normal cost is £159 plus vat but I have three free places to give away.
This is a fast developing area of law and their have been some recent changes to who can authorise surveillance and what for. Full details of the changes are at www.actnow.org.uk. in the Articles section. There is also a code of practice on staff surveillance under the DPA which we will be discussing as well as the new provisions for accessing communications data.
Full details are at www.actnowtraining.co.uk. and attached. Those wishing to take up the free Belfast places should book quoting reference "Jisc/gratis" to claim their free place. First come first served!
Regards
Ibrahim Hasan
