Still haven't got this list up and running yet....Can anyone help....what
was your criteria for determining whether someone goes on a list. Have had
a meeting about this:
1. A clerical assistant may at a contact centre be subjected to bad
language but nothing untoward although that member of staff may report to
their Manager...
2. A third party in a house where they visit may be the person showing
violence or enticing the person to be abusive (may be a spouse).
3. If a person is held at gun-point....obviously would have no
hesitation in putting on such a list but may not inform the individual as
this would surely be a serious threat to a member of staff.
We are of the view that the above two incidents may be noted in file and a
letter sent to the abuser saying that their behaviour is unacceptable. We
are of the view that by informing the individual they are on a VWM list that
this may antagonise the individual further.
Basically I would be grateful to know what criteria you use for putting
someone on such a list and who determines - persumably Head of Department
etc. Any thoughts would be gratefully received.
Happy Friday.............
