I must resist the implications of your leading question however, I do
believe our European data protection colleagues, the French, would tell us
that their system of justice (social order)tends to put the onus onto the
individual to prove innocence.
However I don't want to raise the group temperature by introducing the
French into the debate. Seriously I really do think that all this emotive
talk about guilt and innocence is a bit of a "red herring"
Should we not return to the sticking point - Schedule 2 and Schedule 3
Conditions and fairness etc articulated by our colleague Chris Pounder.
Therein lies the answer- as simple as that (in my opinion)
Anyone agree?
Regards
Fred Foy

would
you like *all* legislation to presume people guilty until proven innocent?"
Who knows - having legislation which was consistent might make a pleasant
change !
Kind regards,
Bill :)
