Dear Lena
We have tried both BrowseAloud and ReadSpeaker. BrowseAloud you down load onto your own machine and therefore it uses the voices you have available as well as the ones provided. Readspeaker works from the company's server (so may be a wee bit slow at first on a 56K modem) and uses the rhetorical voice (http://www.rhetorical.com/) which is very clear.
ReadSpeaker does not allow for the highlighting of text in the same way as BrowseAloud but the full version does offer some navigational elements as can be seen on the DRC website. You can compare the two at: http://www.drc.org.uk/accessoption.asp Go to the bottom of the page.
Hope this helps
Best wishes E.A.
