All,
I would be interested in hearing the groups views on the following scenario:
People move into a property.
Previous residents move out leaving contact details for forwarding correspondence to the new owners.
Government body contacts new owners of property to disclose contact details of the previous resident as they have been unable to trace the person(s) concerned.
As private individuals - can those people that have moved into property disclose those details passed on to them by the previous owners?
Where do they stand in terms of DPA 1998. Should the government body even being trying to obtain those details in such a fashion (or any other agency or company for that matter?)
I have my own views but I would interested to hear what the wider community here think.
Regards
Mark
