I do advise our staff they can release personal data under the Schedule 2
condition of the vital interests of the data subject.
There is no requirement on us to obtain the parent's phone number. We do
record emergency contact information, and that may be the parent.
We have also had a case where a parent was trying to obtain attendance
information, or rather the lack of attendance information so that the parent
could go to court to stop paying any maintenance.
Unfortunately, it is not as simple as it looks.
