For students who are undertaking vocationally oriented programmes that
don't qualify for DSA, it may be possible to advise them to apply for
funding under the access to work rules, if they are either employed or
self employed.
For students who don't qualify due to Country of Residence, we make
various pieces of equipment loanable through the learning resource
centre on a case by case basis. Some are provided with specialist
learning support that is funded within the University funds...it varies.

Hello Linda
yes, we are in the process of formalising this at present - aiming for a
disability support fund like you but haven't got one single fund as yet;
in particular this applies to our international students. We have used
a mixture of things - disability funding, student services pots to date,
top slicing too. Application would be through interviews with the
disability co-ordiantor and eligibility criteria largely those of the
DDA.
So far solution lacking in finesse I'm afraid!
