Hi
Our council tax people have asked the following question;
"We are auditing Council Tax and would like your advice re the
following:
'The Council Tax system should be regularly compared with other systems
e.g. Electoral register to check the validity of information held on the
system.'
Would it be in accordance with DP legislation to carry out sample
checking of the number of people registered to vote at a particular
address and the number of people resident at the same address as listed
on the CT system?"
I am not sure which way to go on this so would appreciate any help.
Steve
