We're also struggling with this, as we've been hit by a copule of
students we accepted who then turned out to have very expensive
support needs. Our current thinking is to identify students from
UCAS applications and invirte them to visit "so we can discuss
their support needs". I think the argument is then that if the
adjustments are prohibitively expensive we can justify turning them
down. I'm not sure how this would stand up in court . . .
