I've just received this from Eversheds - maybe I'm just ignorant but I'd never heard of it - is there wider guidance available somewhere on this topic?
"In our last issue we described how the
Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons)
Act 2002 will make it easier for visually
impaired people to access copyright
materials. The Copyright (Visually
Impaired Persons) Act 2002
(Commencement) Order 2003 has now
been made. The Act comes into force on
31 October 2003 immediately after the
Regulations 2003 come into force.
These regulations make wide-ranging
changes to UK copyright law in order to
implement Directive 2001/29/EC on
the harmonisation of certain aspects of
copyright and related rights in the
information society. An article on these
wider changes to copyright law
will appear in a forthcoming issue
of Insight.
