Can you give more information? If he doesn't need speech, what is the
screen reader doing? What screen reader does he have and what are the
system specs of his PC?
For example, maybe you're talking about Zoomtext and the student is
running a PIII with 126 Mb of RAM, in which case the answer is not
enough go juice: get more memory at the least. This is just a guess.
You might be talking about Jaws, which is uses a lot of system
resources and anyway doesn't work with every program. Give some more
details and lots of people on the list will be able to help.
