Dear All,
(Apologies if you also receive this message from another source.)
you may have seen the artsigns web site (www.artsigns.ac.uk) launched by
the University of Wolverhampton recently. We have been given funding to
create two more BSL/English glossaries for Science and Engineering and to
update and expand Artsigns.
To create these glossaries we need your help!
We would like to interview Deaf BSL users who are a scientists, engineers,
artists; science, engineering or arts undergraduates or graduates; or who
know a lot about these subjects, about the signs they use. We're looking
for all sorts of people - from architects to zoologists.
We are also looking for *experienced* interpreters/CSWs who have worked in
further or higher education with arts, science or engineering based
subjects and have good knowledge of these subjects and how to interpret
them. If you know anybody who fits into either of these categories, we
would be most grateful if you would pass this message on.
Payment will be made to interviewees and all interviews and video tapes be
kept confidential.
Please email me off list at: [log in to unmask]
Many thanks for your help,
Judith
