Here at Coventry we have some limited funding available for students
such as these who wont receive DSA support. Though this doesn't stretch
to buying a PC etc. but will fund other support or software if the
student already has a PC.
I've found that Access to Work hasn't been of any use to any students at
all. I was also told by the employment services that this was only for
adjustments at the start of employment and that any new training/study
was not covered by it.
We have had some employers pay for support - but this is dependant on
whether the student wants them to know about their needs and approach
them with recommendations for support and costings.
