I have found this to a certain extent, though when I got the new
machine with the LCD monitor in October I had to seriously adjust the
brightness/contrast settings on it via the digital menu buttons to get
the image so that it wasn't glarey. I have also found that I need to
clean it more often than a CRT monitor.
