Job Brief - We are seeking a second person to provide
learning support for users with learning differences and
disabilities. The work is focussed on the use of ICT to
help students and staff to maximise their academic
potential.
The post-holder should have a first degree and
further qualifications in areas appropriate to learner
support in a higher education context. They will work as
part of a team including Library and Computing Services
staff who service, maintain, and develop facilities at all
of the University's sites. They will be based at the
Hartley Library Assistive Technology Centre and be expected
to travel to other sites during the course of their work.
Understanding and experience of ICT, assistive technology,
and support for those with learning differences and
disabilities are essential.
The post is offered on a fixed term basis for three years
in the first instance. Salary will be in the range £18,265
- £20,311, Assistant Librarian Grade 1 or
£21,125 - £27,339, Assistant Librarian Grade 2 depending on experience.
