Subject: VI student on computing course
Dear all:
I've been contacted by some one in an FE college supporting VI students who
has one student wanting to take a course (I think HND) in computer studies.
The IT department has raised concerns about how the student would absorb
analyse and produce some elements of the course including complex datasheets
and flow-charts. They contacted the exam board (ed-excel) to ask what
support the student could utilise for assessed work and they very much
through the challenge back saying any support which did not give the student
an unfair advantage.
can any one offer advice on supporting a VI student on such a course?
I recommended that MR Bowker contact SKILL for possible case studies, and
the NCTD re production of charts etc.
