Dear All
With apologies for cross posting.
TechDis have announced a new date to their Workshop Series.
On the 20th March 2003, Bruce Ingraham from the University of Teesside will be hosting an event entitled 'Sit Back and Relax, the use and accessibility of ebooks'. This workshop will look at the activity of reading large bodies of text online. It will consider the use, creation and accessibility of electronic books (eBooks). Participants will have an opportunity to evaluate the activity of reading online from a range of devices including PCs, PDAs, and bespoke eBooks. Participants will also be given the opportunity to evaluate and use some of the software tools and strategies available for the creation of readable/accessible online texts. Participants are encouraged to bring with them a substantial text (in MS Word or HTML format) that they might wish to convert.
This workshop will be held in York, and will be Free to all staff involved in further and higher education. In the event of a delegate failing to attend without prior notice, a £50 administration charge will be incurred.
A registration form for this event can be found at <http://www.techdis.ac.uk/workshops/2003reg.rtf>. However, as spaces on this event will be strictly limited to 16, you may wish to reserve a place on this event. If so, please contact myself, [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
