I'll try not to jumble numbers this time, otherwise tracking down these two
articles will be difficult.
1] 'Internet company honours 13-year-old boy's dyslexia site' Headline
from the Guardian Society section yesterday - January 15, 2003, page 4.
Barnaby Blackburn's site, Iamdyslexic.com, has been selected by Yahoo as one
of the top sites of the year.
2] Backpage, page 30, of The Guardian, Saturday, April 6, 2002 is given
over to a full-page interview with Neil Holloway, chief executive of
Microsoft, UK. He is severely dyslexic, and this is discussed openly within
this article.
I've kept this page for a number of students, while they may not have heard
of many of the famous names on the British Dyslexic Association list, all
know of Microsoft, and realised the significance of being a Chief Executive
of this company.
Both are male [again]. I would also like to see more female success
stories plus sucess stories from different ethnic groups. Given the
multicultural nature of many parts of the UK a wider range of role models
would be very helpful.
