Rebecca
I work at London Metropolitan Uni as Disabilities Officer (mental
health) and was appointed 6 months ago to work with students with mental
health problems. I don't work exclusively with such students, but am
trying to develop the service to meet their needs. One strand of my work
is setting up a mentor scheme for students with mhps, and I have also
made links with the local Mind organisation- with a view to co-running a
support group.
At the Skill conference in Dec 2002 Deb Viney and Sue Meads of
Southampton Uni presented their Mentor Service which they run. It may be
useful for you to contact them.
All the best
