On your website it says LSHTM is part of the University of London. The university almost certainly will be designated. If you are part of the university then tell the LEA and that should sort out the problem.

Subject: Designated for DfES funding?
An LEA has just called me re. a DSA application (the first one I've dealt with here). Apparently we do not appear on any of their lists as "designated for public funding" (from DfES) and therefore they are not sure if we are eligible.
We only offer postgrad courses which would explain our absence from their reference lists (UCAS manual I suppose) - but we are a public funded institution. Does anyone have any advice on what to say to the LEA to convince them?
Thanks
Emma
