Potential conflicts emerge with RealSpeak synthetic speech: this is
used by a number of other applications, among them Kurzweil, TextHELP,
ZoomText and Omnipage. In theory, the different programs use shared
files and happily coexist; in practice, I have found it makes a great
deal of difference in what order the programs are installed, while an
error in one seems to affect one or all of the others. The downside is
that the developers rarely acknowledge any responsibility for RealSpeak
(they're just licencing it) and so problems are not dealt with in the
different help sections and the user is directed to the US site.
