I simply wanted to agree wholeheartedly with Claire's comments. There is no reason per se why a hearing impaired student shouldn't undertake
a viva - in fact I have known certain instances where it has been used AS the alternative means of assessment!

If you provide full high quality communication support and additional time to allow for the impact of this, will the student be
disadvantaged? It might also be useful to brief all the hearing people involved in the viva so that they know how to work with HACS/use
equipment and to ensure that any HAC is fully informed of the content of the student's work.
