There is a new Centre for Dance and Drama formed from the amalgamation
of RADA, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds, and a Bristol
organisation whose name I am unsure of, there is one other London
organisation I think also. Since they offer HE courses the DSA is
available there as with any other HE.
I only have first hand knowledge of the Leeds organisation and can say
that the support there would put most HE institutions to shame. Your
students will probably find more support at the organisations named than
most other places.

Subject: Support in Private HE Institutions
Hi all,
I have a couple of students hoping to progress to HE drama / dance
courses next September and my understanding is that these are privately
funded institutions so that the students would be ineligible for the
DSA. Under SENDA would the institutions be expected to replicate the
sort of support these students (who are dyslexic) would be likely to get
elsewhere (usually IT hardware, software & specialist teaching /
non-medical helper)?
Would be grateful for any advice.
