Another solution, which is similar to the Braille Lite but has all manner of
combinations, is the Braille Note series from PulseData. You can have
anything from speech only with a standard keybord (palm top size equipment),
speech only with a Braille keybord, or both speech and Braille display in
different sizes, with either Braille or standard keyboards. The prizes
depend on the size of the Braille displays. Incidentally, you can turn the
speech off on the ones which have Braille displays. I think they range from
around one and a half to four thousand pounds. Check out their website on

I don't like mentioning prices because they are mainly not on
websites or are not particular accurate, but yes, a speech
braillenote will set you back around £3k, add braille support and
you add extra (around £4k). The Pacmate is in the same price
bracket.
