Emma it really depends on where you hope to use the desks as to the type you
should purchase. There is such a large variety (we have a selection on the
database under desks and tables
http://www.niad.sussex.ac.uk/browse_by_products.cfm - lists of suppliers are
given with individual products. Prices vary enormously).
It is crucial to buy ones that are strong and will take the weight of
students and staff sitting and leaning on them! Rounded edges and easy to
operate crank handles or electronic wizardry are also important with good
clearance under the tables. Make sure the table is deep enough for a large
monitor and all the computer peripherals as well as files if it is going to
be used as a workstation table. Sometimes it is helpful to have a split
system so the keyboard or monitor can be raised or lowered separately.
Do get in touch if you need any further help.
Best wishes

Subject: Height adjustable desks
Hi,
I am looking to contact companies who can supply the above product.
I wonder if anyone is able to offer any advice on or recommend any
suppliers. Also this is the first time I have been involved in procuring
furniture particularly for those with disabilities therefore I woould be
grateful of any additional advice.
Thanks in advance
Emma
