Hi,
Apologies for the cross posting.
We are currently working with a Disabled Student (prospective) who requires
an electric hoist to enable them to transfer into bed. The student will be
staying in our Halls of residence. I have involved the relevant
Occupational Therapist(s) and Social workers from the student's local
social services. They have done site / risk / need assessments.
My question is who pays for the hoist - the Social services or us? My
guess is us as we are the service provider.
Has anyone had similar experiences?
Would you be willing to share them and any good practice / solutions etc?
Many thanks
Best Wishes
Stuart
