Apologies if this has already been discussed on this list and I've
missed it. But my attention has been drawn to a consultation launched by
the Lord Chancellor's Department entitled "For your information: how can
the public sector provide people with information on, and build
confidence in, the way it handles their personal details?". Snappy, eh?
This proposes a one-page Guarantee that public sector organisations
would be invited/expected to sign up to, supported by various published
documents including information sharing protocols. Comments are sought
from individual citizens as well as from representative organisations.
