I think that the answer is to check this with a reputable online anti-virus
support site. We use Norton AV so I checked Symantec and turned up news
about an old hoax:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/be.spooked.hoax.html
Generally you should regard these things as hoaxes until you have *good*
reason to regard them as genuine. The best way to avoid problems is to keep
AV software up-to-date (whether you're an individual or an organisation) and
use an ISP that does the same. And don't take my word for it if you're
worried but check a few sources for yourself.

Subject: VIRUS WARNING
Dear All,
I have received an email warning about an email which referees to the
World Trade Centre which is said to be very dangerous - effectively
completely wiping your system. Has anyone heard of this; is it a genuine
warning or a hoax? Does anyone want to see the warning. Having been
bitten once over a hoax I am reluctant to scare people unnecessarily.
