We have been following this particular 'debate' with interest over the last
few days, and I thought that it was time to throw another spanner in as it
is getting too gentlemanly now!
Following the underlying thread as to who does the best for the client by
following their own procedure, it is fascinating to take an alternative view
of what is best for the client. So far, a growing number of Access Centres
have been using our services, the LEAs who express delight at our outcomes
are becoming too many to list, and approaching 3000 Dyslexic persons have
been through our system with terrific results. Yet both Ukassessments and
Plymouth Access Centre have consistently refused to even look at what we do,
despite repeated attempts to set up demonstrations. If these people were
really into achieving the best possible long term care and enabling of their
clients, you would think that they might bring a more open mind to
proceedings. Especially when you consider that the cost of our programme to
the DSA is less than the difference between the highest and lowest quotes
they get for the computer equipment which is at the centre of the debate!
