Improving Health & Safety:
The benefits
A one day symposium at
St Aidan's College
University of Durham
on Tuesday 2nd July 2002
This symposium highlights and supports the
Governments initiatives of revitalising health and
safety and securing health together. Time spent away
from work has many causes, including injury and ill
health. Choosing the right person for the job is vital to ensuring a
continuing healthy workforce. Rehabilitation
after sickness or injury is just as important. The strategy
also calls for insurers to take a role in influencing
employers to look after their workforce.
The workshops will focus on the practicalities of
changes to the workplace to enable staff to be recruited
or rehabilitated after sickness, injury or disability.
ISTR extends a cordial invitation to non-members to
attend this symposium.
