Hi Emma,
Could this person do a different kind of dance more use of their hands and
arms, if it is contempoary then this may work. There are groups of disabled
dancers and I know that there is one in New Zealand that brings people of
all disabilities together. If you can find out about similar groups in the
UK, they might have some ideas.
Cheers
Pauline.

Subject: reasonable adjustments to dance course
I wonder if anyone has had experience of putting reasonable
adjustments in place for a dance student with a back problem
which is limiting their participation in the practical
components of the course. The option of written assessment has
been considered - however the student would like to perform in
the practical. The discussions are looking at the interaction
between reasonable adjustments and performance standards and I
wondered if anyone had had any previous experience in this
area?
Many Thanks
Emma
