Haven't list members who choose to post to what has always been a publicly-archived list, and in many cases post a range of identifying information (work address, phone nos etc), placed this information in the public domain of their own volition? Does the Act compel controllers to shut and secure the stable door after the data subject her- or him-self has led the horse out?
Sorry if I'm stoking an unwanted fire. (Full range of metaphors available on request!)
