Dear all,
We have recently got hold of the document produced by IDeA called 'Data
Protection: A Councillor's Guide' in our authority. It is obviously a
comprehensive guidance. It is however felt that the document is lengthy and
is consequently likely not to be read by our Councillors and that it raises
a lot of questions (what resources and time are we able and prepared to give
to assist our Councillors in complying with the Data Protection
requirements).
I would be interested in knowing how other Local Authorities have dealt with
this sensitive issue and what the reactions of their Councillors have been.
Thanks for your input.
